ESWW2024

The European Space Weather Week (ESWW) took place in the beautiful city of Coimbra, Portugal, from November 4 to 8, providing a vibrant platform for the latest developments in space science. SWATNet marked its presence prominently at the event, with a significant number of ERS’s along with their supervisors actively participating.
Throughout the week, the ERS’s engaged the audience by giving oral presentations and posters that highlighted their innovative research projects. This provided an excellent opportunity for them to share their findings with peers and industry experts about space weather.

In addition to the presentations, SWATNet organized an interesting Open Day during the ESWW fair. This event featured a series of videos that showcased the impactful research undertaken by the ECRs within SWATNet, giving attendees insights into their work and the potential implications for the research field.

To foster interaction and engagement, a variety of interactive promotional materials were made available to visitors, which drew a considerable number of researchers and enthusiasts eager to learn more about the work being done in the space weather community.

Furthermore, the open day included a compelling video presentation that highlighted the collaborative efforts of the Space Weather Cluster. This initiative encompasses several projects within SWATNet, alongside other significant projects from SERPENTINE, IDOLS, SOLOER, and SPEARHEAD, all of which were developed under the Horizon Results Booster European programme.
